About Us
At the Heart of England Co-operative Society, we're proud of our rich heritage dating back to 1832. As an independent regional Co-operative, our purpose is to enrich the lives of our members, customers, colleagues and communities by putting them at the heart of every decision we make. As we continue to grow and evolve, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Project Manager to lead one of the Society's most significant strategic projects – the launch of our new brand identity and customer app.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a highly organised and commercially focused Interim Marketing Project Manager to join us on a six-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a major brand relaunch programme, working closely with senior stakeholders, external creative agencies and internal teams to ensure successful delivery. You'll play a key role in shaping how our customers, members and communities experience the Heart of England Co-operative Society for years to come.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of the Society's brand relaunch programme.
- Acting as the primary contact for our appointed creative agency, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to brief.
- Managing the development and launch of the Society's customer app.
- Coordinating stakeholders across multiple business functions to ensure successful implementation.
- Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, budgets and risk registers.
- Facilitating workshops, presentations and decision-making forums with senior leaders.
- Monitoring project progress, managing risks and resolving issues.
- Supporting launch planning, colleague engagement and change management activities.
- Providing regular project updates and reports to senior stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for a driven project professional who can confidently lead complex marketing and transformation initiatives. You'll have:
- Proven experience managing large-scale brand, marketing or business transformation projects.
- Experience working with creative, branding or marketing agencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation abilities.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong project planning, governance and risk management skills.
It would be advantageous if you have:
- Experience delivering a major rebranding programme.
- Experience managing app development or digital product launches.
- A recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, Agile, PMP, APM or equivalent).
- Experience within retail, membership or customer-focused organisations.
What You'll Bring
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative and engaging approach.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
- Resilience, adaptability and a proactive mindset.
- The ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
Why Join Us?
In addition to a competitive salary, you'll enjoy a range of benefits including:
- Colleague discount across Society stores and services.
- Enhanced Pension scheme.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Access to colleague wellbeing initiatives.
- Opportunities to make a genuine impact within a values-led organisation.
- The chance to lead a high-profile strategic project that will shape the future of our Society.
