ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER with a Retail Apprenticeship

Retail apprenticeships are nationally designed training programmes offering you the opportunity to enhance your career through a combination of training and assessment. They allow you to combine work and study by mixing on and off-the-job training with one-to-one learning sessions to gain a nationally recognised qualification that gives a 360 degree understanding of retail.

Programme currently available:

Our Accelerate Programme is for Team Leaders who are aspiring to become Store Managers of the future. This is an opportunity to complete the Level 4 Retail Manager Apprenticeship Programme, to set you up with the skills and knowledge to apply for a Store Manager role. This apprenticeship is nationally recognised and takes up to 18 months to complete.

• Being an apprentice even allows you to apply for a TOTUM apprentice card which will give you access to many discounts and benefits
• No cost to you

How to apply:

You will need to meet the following criteria. You must:

• Be willing/able to travel as the programme will include at least one placement in another store
• Have completed your probation
• Have successfully completed your Excel Development programme
• Be able to provide a supporting reference from your current manager
• Have no live warnings on file
• Have evidence of achieving A*-C or 9-4 in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) OR complete Functional Skills at Level 2 in Maths and English before the end of the programme, with the support of a tutor. All candidates will also need to complete an initial assessment in Maths and English
• Be contracted to work at least 20 hours per week

The deadline for applications is Friday 21st June 2024. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to an assessment centre on either Friday 5th July or Friday 12th July.

Please note that successful colleagues will need to be committed to participating in development sessions with their course tutor (either face to face or via Teams), attending some training at the Support Centre and completing written coursework to evidence ongoing learning.
