Job description
Retail Digital Marketing Coordinator
Location: Coventry
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Contract: Internal secondment, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
At the Heart of England Co-operative Society, we’ve been proudly serving our communities for over 190 years — and we’re still growing. From our Food stores and Funeral homes to our new Coffee ventures, we’re passionate about people, local stories, and doing business the right way.
We’re now looking for a Retail Digital Marketing Coordinator to help us bring our brand personality and Co-operative values to life online — through compelling content that connects, inspires, and drives results.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a hands-on role in creating and delivering digital content that showcases our communities, colleagues, and causes across social media, email, and our websites.
In this varied and creative role, you’ll:
Develop and deliver engaging social media campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and X (Twitter).
Capture and edit photography and short-form video content that tells our story authentically.
Write fresh, inspiring copy for blogs, web pages, emails, and social posts.
Manage and analyse email campaigns to drive engagement and conversions.
Update and optimise website content using insights and analytics tools.
Collaborate with colleagues across Food, Funeral and Coffee divisions to support campaigns and events.
Use AI tools to boost creativity, productivity, and campaign performance.
You’ll be a true brand champion — ensuring our online presence reflects our values of fairness, community, and cooperation.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a creative storyteller and results-driven marketer who can blend data, design, and purpose. You’ll have:
5+ years’ experience in digital marketing or CRM, ideally within retail.
A strong understanding of digital and social best practice.
Excellent copywriting and content creation skills.
Experience in photography, videography, and editing tools.
A good grasp of AI tools for design, planning, and content optimisation.
Confident use of Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Canva.
A collaborative, adaptable, and self-motivated approach.
If you’re strategic, hands-on, and excited by the idea of making an impact across multiple digital touchpoints — we’d love to hear from you.
Why join us?
Work for a values-led business that genuinely puts people and community first.
Collaborate with passionate teams in a creative, supportive environment.
Enjoy career development opportunities and ongoing learning.
Be part of a local business that’s making a difference every day.
Ready to bring your ideas to life and help shape the future of Co-op marketing?
